We’re a real life pb community set in New York City. Our focus is to give players a fun, friendly and safe environment to develop their characters and enjoy their hobby and craft of writing. As mods, we will try our best to bring forward group writing opportunities in mod-run events, prompts and sign ups, to do our part in bringing a writing-focus to our community.
Everyone knows the basic and common sense rules of roleplay, but here they are: no crossing the ic/ooc line and no god-modding. Treat your fellow roleplayers with respect. If there are any conflicts between players that can’t be handled by themselves, please let us know and we’ll mediate the situation for you.

Characters and played-bys should be 18+ with a character’s age range being -/+ 5 years from their played by. Played-bys should be actors, models and anyone with a valid claim/source to “fame.” If we have an issue with a played-by, we’ll let you know and help you find an alternative.
We allow members and potential members to start with two characters, with a third and fourth slot available after a full activity cycle has passed. We ask members to be diverse with their character selection, along with handling their characters and plotlines with a sense of realism. We are not a faux celeb community and we will not allow credits to be used, but “sounds/plays like” is an acceptable alternative. However, if your character’s fame is their defining characteristic, they should be kept in a faux celeb community.
We do not require a biography to apply. All that’s needed is the following: basic information, a few sentences of a blurb and examples. If you’re coming back from a break from RP or do not have examples readily available, contact the mods and we’ll work something out with you.

Introductions should be done within a week of acceptance with an extension granted upon request. Please post your introductions in ~metrosystem and reply to all of your comments. We’ll check you off for the intro. You’ll still need to fill the other activity requirements.

We will be revisiting our activity requirements in a group discussion to be posted sometime in January. Failure to drop off your activity links in our tracker will result in removal.
If a character is consistently removed for inactivity, there’s a chance they may be banned from the game. We will handle this on a case-by-case basis.

In an effort to promote activity beyond what’s required and to reward members for developing their characters and contributing to the community, we’re allowing members to earn points and spend them on a variety of things: update passes*, gifs, icons, journal and directory layouts and custom coded updates.
